White Christmas!

Only 4 days left to take advantage of the FREE BIG SHOT deal from Stampin’ Up!!!

Today’s card is all about WHITE, the only non-white thing on the card is the silver embossed sentiment. The punches used on this card are the Doily Triple Layer Punch, the Decorative Label Punch and the Word Window Punch. This would be a great card to make if you only had Whisper White paper left in your stash (if you only had Whisper White paper, it’s probably a good time to call me with an order ;) ) or just to give yourself a challenge. Speaking of challenge, why don’t you try to make a card with only ONE colour of paper and send me a picture of it. I’d be happy to post your pictures on my blog…with credit to you of course. I hope you like the card and enjoy the video.

October Thank You!

Today’s card is my October Thank You card and I will be giving it to everyone that orders from me this month. I usually make a fairly simple card that is easy to repeat and uses seasonal colours. I haven’t shared my thank you cards on my blog before but I just thought they were a good way to show you how to use the Stampin’ Up! products to make FAST yet beautiful (at least in my opinion) cards.  I hope you enjoy the card and the VIDEO — yes, I said video! I know I haven’t put one up for a while but I think I might start again.  Stop by soon to see if I do ;)

BOO!

I don’t normally send out Halloween cards but I just received the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set and really wanted to use it. I love the little mummy, skull and the ghost — they just look so cute with their Basic Rhinestone eyes. Yes, I even bling up Halloween. The banner is stamped using the Sweet Shoppe Alphabet Lower stamp set and the Petite Pennants Builder punch. Isn’t it ADORABLE?

I hope you like the card, and remember this is the last week for the BIG SHOT deal. When you join Stampin’ Up! until October 31st, you’ll get the BIG SHOT (or $125 in products) free. That’s a $550 value for $215 — how can you go wrong? This is the perfect opportunity, whether you want to earn some extra money, build a full time business or just want the discount — it’s up to you how you want to use it!

If you’re thinking of joining but just don’t know where to start? Give me a shout and I’ll walk you through the process, it’s really easy and lots of FUN!

Happy Birthday little Princess!

Pretty in Pink and Whisper White make this the perfect card for my niece’s 2nd birthday. The dress is made of tissue paper and one of hearts from the Heart to Heart punch — a dress befitting a princess…heehee! The background is embossed using the Elegant Bouquet textured impressions folder and then sponged with Pretty in Pink. And of course you can’t forget the BLING with the Basic Rhinestones. I hope you like the card and don’t forget to stop by tomorrow for a little Halloween fun :)

Happy I do day!

I made today’s card for my cousin for her wedding. She put a peacock feather in the invitation, the colours in the feather reminded me of gold and Pacific Point…what do you think? It uses two of my favourite stamp sets, Word Play and Vintage Vogue. I love Pacific Point, but I’ve been having so much trouble trying to find colour combinations that work well with it. So, I’ve decided to give myself a little challenge for this month…find at least three colour combination for Pacific Point. Any help would be greatly appreciated, so feel free to email me any suggestions.

Here is the card, I hope you like it (and I hope she likes it too)!!!

Cute as a Button!

Today’s card uses ALL of the 2010-2011 In-Colours. It’s a good thing our in-colours hang around for 2 years now, because it takes about a year for new colours to grow on me. I hardly used these colour up until about a month ago and now I can’t stop using them, especially Poppy Parade…it’s just so vibrant!!! Other than the colours, which were the inspiration for this card, I used the Buttons, Buttons stamp set, the Sweet Button embosslit and my newest punch, the Round Tab Punch. I’m not sure if you can tell in the picture, but all those little buttons on the popped-up piece are actually embossed…so cute!!!

I hope you like the card and remember, there’s only a few more days to order the $119 Starter Kit. That includes shipping and GST.

One more thing, I will be announcing the charity for this year’s annual fundraiser next week on my blog. Make sure you stop by to find out all about it!

Part 5 of 5 – Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake

I just realized that I never posted the last 2 cards from the All-Occasions Stamp-a-Stack for OTMH. These cards use two of my favourite colours (ok, I have lots of favourite colours), Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake. I tried to do a more manly card for Father’s day and I think it works. The other card is perfect for a wedding, the colours are so soothing and elegant. I’m beginning to really love that Always stamp set — the lines are so fine and the design is so pleasing. Anyway, I hope you like the cards and I’ll try to post again really soon.

By the way, it’s National Scrapbooking month and Stampin’ Up! has some amazing deals on some of their stamp sets — I’ll post the details tomorrow (or later tonight).

Part 4 of 5 – Bright Colours and Cute Buttons

Today’s cards are so bright and cheery, they make me long for spring so badly! Hopefully one day soon, it’ll make an appearance and bring with it warmth and beautifully coloured flowers. I can’t wait to take my daughter to the garden centre to pick some flowers to plant in our garden, it’s going to be so much FUN! Let’s hope next weekend we can get started! Anyway, I hope you like the cards and that you’ll stop by again soon!

Part 3 of 5 – Marina Mist and Very Vanilla

Today’s cards are super simple but oh so beautiful…if I must say so myself ;) This was my favourite rotation of Sunday’s event, the colours are so calm and soothing and the Medallion and Charming stamp sets are so elegant. I was a little unsure about using these stamp sets together but I think the cards ended up working out very well. I hope you like the cards as much as I do.

Part 2 of 5 – Blushing Bride and Certainly Celery Rotation

Today’s cards were made at the Blushing Bride (one of my favourite In-colours for this year) and Certainly Celery rotation. Ok, there was Melon Mumbo at the table too but hey the title can only be so long, right? I really like the colour combination and the softness of these cards and I hope you do too. Here’s hoping for a little more spring!!!

Part 1 of 5 – Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Rotation

Today’s cards were made at the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive rotation at Sunday’s All Occasion’s Stamp-a-Stack. I will be sharing the 10 cards that were made over the next 5 days. I split the event up into five rotations, each rotation had 2 cards that were made using the same stamp set(s) and colours. I’ve received a bunch of emails from those that attended letting me know how much fun they had…that makes me feel so good. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, over $300 were raised for the Oakville Hospital Foundation which were matched by one of the attendees. I’m so blessed to be able to do something I love, spend time with my family and friends while helping make a difference in my community. Thank you to everyone that attended for making this another successful event!!! My daughter would like me to hold these events on a monthly basis — it’s a lot of work so I’ll do another Stampin’ for OTMH again in the fall to get everyone ready for Christmas again. If you didn’t make it this time, hopefully you can make it in the fall.

Alright, I’ll stop chatting now and I’ll show you the cards…I hope you like them!

Thank you for your Friendship

Today’s cards are so special because they are going to some of my closest friends. They really stood by me and showed me their support during a pretty difficult time in my life. I miss my grandma so much but I know she’s in a better place.

I really wanted the cards to be elegant and to use a style that my grandma would have liked… so vintage is how they ended up! You can see from the pictures how you can use a simple colour scheme and a beautiful stamp set to create many different cards. I used one of the Sale-a-Bration stamp sets, Bliss, which is my absolute favourite. I’m going to be so sad when it retires on March 31st. Make sure to send me your $60 order if you want to get it for FREE!!!

I hope you like the cards!

Stamp set: Bliss and Upsy Daisy

Ink: Baja Breeze and Soft Suede

Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze and Soft Suede

Other: Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper, Basic Pearls, oval punch, scalloped oval punch, decorative label punch, scalloped edge punch and scalloped trim punch.
