2. The Tuesday Scrapbooking Club is cancelled but there are still 2 spots available on Thursdays. Please email me to register as soon as possible if you are interested.

Now to the fun part! I managed to put this card and video together for you despite having a sick little boy most of last week and all weekend. He’s feeling better though, thank God! I can’t believe it’s almost been a whole week since I posted…wow, time flies! I’m not sure if the pictures of this card do it justice, it’s such a beautiful card. I’ll have it on display at the open house if you want to see it in person. Anyway, enjoy the video and leave a comment!

Never ending B-day card video!

WOW, this card took forever to make and the video took forever to edit. I must have been so tired when I was making it because nothing seemed to work out. I think I did and re-did every part of the card at least 2-3 times, could you hear the frustration in my voice? In the end I finally have a card and a video to share with you. If you find this video a little long, I’m really really sorry…I tried to cut out as much of it as I could but I may have missed some parts where I’m just thinking about how to fix it or how to make it better. At least you’ll get a little taste of what goes on in my head when I’m making a card, LOL!!! I made this card for a Crazy 4 Challenge, I just hope I didn’t miss the deadline. Anyway, enjoy the video!

Quick Update!

Sorry for the short post…I’m just totally exhausted from a very crazy but FUN weekend. Hopefully next weekend will be a little quieter because I have so much to prepare for.  Here’s a quick update of events I will be holding and a few pictures of cards I made at the end of December but didn’t have a chance to post yet. Enjoy and I hope to see you soon!

New Mini Occasions Catalogue:

The new Mini was launched on January 5th and will run until April 30th. To give you an opportunity to check out the lineup, I will be holding an Open House on Tuesday January 26th starting at 7pm at my house. Drop in for some refreshments and check out the new punch design (so COOL!), the new clear mounted stamps, and some of the AWESOME new accessories. Bring a friend and get a $10 gift certificate to use towards your next $50 purchase.

New Clubs for 2010:

A Year in Scrapbook Club – Starting in February I will be having two monthly Scrapbook Clubs, one on the 2nd Tuesday of the month and one on the 3rd Thursday of the month. We will meet at my house and will scrapbook the previous month. The cost of the club will be $10 per session or $100 for all 12. This includes your layout sketch, paper, embellishments and one-on-one coaching. By January 2011 you will have your 2010 scrapbook completed!!! To ensure everyone gets one-on-one instruction time, I can only accommodate 7 people per night so make sure to register early (5 people per night minimum).

Technique Club – Starting in February I will be holding a 6 session technique club on the 4th Wednesday of the month at my house. During each session we will explore advanced stamping techniques and using these techniques to complete a card. These classes are free with a minimum $25 order per class. I can accommodate a maximum of 10 people in this club with a minimum of 8 people.

Please register for either clubs by January 25th, 2010. All club nights will start at 7pm and make sure to bring your own adhesive.

How sweet is that Sweet Pea Stitched Felt set??? I love it!!! It caught my eye from the moment I saw it in the new mini, I just couldn’t wait to get them. Cards from the weekend!

This has been a very busy weekend with lots of cards being made, given, and taken…It was wonderful! I love seeing people’s faces when they get a hand made card. It makes them feel very special. Or at least I hope they feel that way!

I made two baptism cards, a card for the card contest at the Stampin’ Up meeting on Sunday, a card for my WOW presentation, and 6 make-and-takes. You’d think I’d be all carded out, but I’m totally inspired to create more!!! As part of the meeting on Sunday, I also participated in a card swap with 19 other demonstrators. I posted a video of the card I swapped last week (it was the red and white Thank you card).  Here are the pictures of the baptism cards, my WOW card, and the card I entered in the card contest. My wow card was a last minute attempt at using leather on a card, hence the belt. I originally tried shoes but that didn’t work out too well. Anyway, enjoy the cards and leave me a comment!

Not 1 but 2!

Today I have not 1 but 2 videos for you! The first one is a tutorial on the new clear mount stamps that Stampin’ Up! is introducing in the new Occasions Mini Catalogue. The second video shows you how I made the card I will be using for my SWAP on Sunday. I’m so excited about Jenn’s downline meeting, the last one was so much FUN!!! I learned so much and got to meet a bunch of other crazy stampers…I’m not alone ;) !!! Anyway, since Sale-A-Bration started yesterday, now is a great time to host a workshop for your friends.  Give me a shout to set up a date.  I hope you enjoy the videos!

In summary, Clear Mounted Stamps are awesome because:

  1. The packaging is nothing short of brilliant
  2. They’re made of rubber not acrylic
  3. They take up less space which means you can store MORE
  4. They cost about 25% less than the wood mounted stamps so you can buy MORE…YAY!!!

Stamp Set: With all My Heart

Card Stock: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink and Real Red

Ink:Real Red and Versamark

Other: Scalloped Edge punch, white gel pen, white embossing powder and silver brad

Faux Leather Gift Card Wallet

So I volunteered to present a WOW at my upline’s next Demonstrator meeting on Saturday…I’m very excited about it but also a little nervous. I mean, really what I could I show a bunch of very experienced stampers. I’ve been searching all over the web and I finally found something that may be worthy. I can’t even remember where I saw it but it’s obviously not my idea, so I won’t take credit. I think I need to work on my embellishments but I really like the technique…I hope you like it too.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s day. As you may have noticed, my blog has been changed / updated quite a bit in the last few days. I hope you like the changes. My goal for 2010 is to post at least one video and one card picture a week. I’ll also make sure to post any Stampin’ Up! specials or promotions as they come up.  You may or may not know that I’m very excited about trying out a new kind of class starting in February which I hope you’ll enjoy. It’s a monthly scrapbooking class where you’ll get to create a 2 page layout for the previous month. Assuming you come to all the classes, you’ll end up with a 24 page scrapbook for 2010. If you’re interested in learning more about the class please contact me.

Today’s card is a celebration of new beginnings, it’s for my neighbour who’s expecting her first in a few days. I’m very excited about meeting him and finding out his name. I’m sure he’ll be a cutie pie…all babies are! The picture below is of a couple of other baby cards I made last week, one for my cousin who just had the cutiest little baby girl and the other…well, I’m not sure who it’s for. I’m sure I’ll find it a good home soon.  I hope you like the cards!
